OH, HELLO 👋🏼

OH, HELLO 👋🏼

If you’ve found this page, chances are you got here from my resume.

(hi, Browser Company 😉)

I made this page for you because I don’t believe a simple resume captures the whole story of a person.

Resumes leave off the life experiences that shape us and are instead replaced by numbers. But we are not numbers (or words for that matter).

Of course, you’ll find some work experiences accompanied by some numbers here because I’ve given nearly 7 years of my life to a professional career. But there is more. Oh, so much more.

And if there’s one thing you should take away from this wrt who I am it’s this: I am a storyteller.

I learned marketing to tell brand stories, then I learned UX to tell user stories. I am adventurous, empathetic, analytical, and solutions-focused. I look at work challenges like a puzzle — we just have to find the right pieces to tell the right story.

This is me on a really good hair day – because all good hair days deserve to be photographed.

Let’s. Get. Personal.

IN THE BEGINNING…

I’m a Cali-born, Colorado-raised ‘90s kid who was fortunate enough to be a tech early adopter from a young age.

I fought with my two older siblings to play games on the N64, begged for (and received) an iPod Mini in 8th grade, and jumped on Facebook before most of my friends. Technology was always a part of my life growing up.

I saw how technology changed our world – and now I want to be a part of the next chapter.

THE CHARACTER ARC

Every story has a middle—typically the place where the main character learns something about the world (or themselves)—mine can be summed up in a few bullet points.

  • Finding a degree path I was passionate about—Graduated in 2017 with a BS in Marketing and International Business

  • Learning about the world through travel, taking trips to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Spain, Ireland, and many more

  • Defining my values—between hobbies and school, friendships and jobs, I realized who I am and how I want to move through the world.

My character arc was nothing short of life-changing. I look back on those years with fondness and care for the person I was then. And I’m glad for the lessons learned that made me who I am today.

MY VALUES

Curiosity.

Empathy.

Authenticity.

LEVELING UP

After finishing my Bachelor’s degree, work became my all. I dove into a marketing career headfirst, ambitious to “make it” (however that can be defined).

Over time I found myself gathering experience in growth and product marketing, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy and execution.

A few stats (as promised):

  • Increased app downloads by +200% by crafting a product story customized to customer segments by value proposition

  • Led multiple digital marketing campaigns that increased new customers and revenue by +20%

  • Used customer segmentation to improve ad engagement and conversion by +40%

ONE LAST THING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME

Two years ago I was sitting at my desk watching the product launch for the Google Pixel 6 phone. As a Pixel user, I was ecstatic to learn about the new features of this phone.

It was watching that livestream when I realized I wanted to be a part of something bigger—I wanted to understand how to build a product, not just sell it.

Two weeks ago, sitting at that same desk, I graduated with my MS in User Experience.

It doesn’t matter to me if I end up in a UX role or stay in marketing, because what I learned in the last two years is irreplaceable. I have a better understanding of the importance of user empathy, and that knowledge is valuable in any role.

Do I still have your attention?

(I hope so, because this webpage took longer to create than I originally anticipated)

This is my story. Now, I want to tell yours.
