Now printing photos is as easy as making memories
Summary
Chatbooks made printing photos easier than ever. HeyFam made sharing high-resolution photos possible across any device.
My role in this project was the make sure users understand HeyFam’s value when setting up the app as a photo source in Chatbooks.

Hypothesis
We believe that adding HeyFam as a photo source in the photo book creation flow creates a better experience for Chatbooks users by allowing them to print shared photos. Connecting these apps also supports the company’s goals to monetize HeyFam.
Process
When HeyFam was added as a photo source in the Chatbooks app, we needed to provide a way for new HeyFam users to download the app without leaving the photo book building flow. After brainstorming with the UX Designer, we decided to add an “ℹ” icon for interested users to learn more. In this tooltip, we added a call-to-action (CTA) for users to send themselves an email with a download link.
My job was to write the copy for this tooltip that was short, explanatory, and relevant to Chatbooks users. I created versions for logged-in and guest users, as well as a success message.
In addition to the in-app messaging, I wrote copy for the email users receive when they tap the “Send me a download link” CTA.
Because these users are familiar with Chatbooks, I focused on highlighting that HeyFam is the best way to print photos from your family.
Additionally, based on prior messaging tests I included a second section that called out how HeyFam does not compress photos between iOS and Android devices.
